WHAT WE OFFER

Our Disciplines

Gymnastics can be split into a number of disciplines, each with their own rules and apparatus.

Here at HGC we offer a wide variety of disciplines.

Recreational Sections

Pre-School

Our pre-school programme proudly offers a gymnastics experience for toddlers 18 months to 5 years of age and is creatively designed to promote body awareness and self-esteem through gymnastics exercise. Our program aims to increase each child's individual awareness and

co-ordination. Our incredible staff will guide your little one through a fun adventure every session, utilising creative set-ups and using themes that stimulate experiential learning and cognitive development.

Recreational

Our recreational gymnastics programme is designed to engage children from school age upwards, in a fun and friendly gymnastics environment. The aim is to develop  physical literacy skills through a wide variety of gymnastics activities and skills. This means that we will develop their strength, flexibility, coordination, fitness and confidence. Your child's experience at our recreational classes will provide them with an excellent basis for progression in a number of sports.

ASN

The disability gymnastics programme ensures that gymnastics is adapted to meet the needs of each gymnast. Through the delivery of disability gymnastics, coaches can enable all disabled gymnasts to achieve their full potential, focusing on what they can do, not on what they can't do. Disability gymnastics has something exciting, fun and engaging for people of all abilities, as well as the physical and social benefits for participants, including developing greater coordination skills and building confidence.

Display

Display gymnastics is an exciting way for gymnasts to showcase their skills. Gymnasts perform routines to music with the use of props, costumes and visual effects. These routines are performed at festivals in the UK and across Europe and are all about having fun in an exciting non-competitive environment. Display gymnastics is a great way for older gymnasts to stay involved in the sport.

Recreational Tumble

Our Recreational Tumble classes are designed for those children who want to focus on their floor and tumbling skills. Gymnasts will build the foundational basics for tumbling - including cartwheels, handstands, bridges and rolls - before progressing towards more advanced skills like round-offs, back flips, handsprings and somersaults.

Adult Gymnastics

Our Adult Gymnastics class is a coach led session which offers a structured class and a syllabus to follow. If there is anything out with the syllabus you wish to learn this can be discussed with the coaches directly. All abilities and anyone aged over 16 is welcome and there are no conditions for entry. The Adult Gymnastics class is a pay as you go class and there is currently no advanced booking required. Just show up and pay on the door. We will be moving this to our ClubRight booking system in the near future.
